Rosemary Camire Knight has been the Administrator at The Chapman House since August 2006.  According to Rosemary…”I fell in love with The Chapman House as a teenager when I began visiting neighbors.”

Rosemary is licensed through the State of Maine Nursing Home Board as a Residential Care Administrator.  She has training in Residents Rights and Alzheimer’s and has served on the Board for RAFTS  (“Relatives and Friends Together for Support”).

Rosemary’s professional career has been in residential and long-term care. She has held positions as Activities Director and Administrator for many years in Maine.  Rosemary has taught classes at the Lewiston and Turner Adult Education in Residential Care/Activities. 

Rosemary was raised in Auburn, Maine.  She comes from a large family, enjoys camping and has two dogs and two cats.

Our administrator oversees a plentiful staff enabling around-the-clock care for our residents. Staff include: a registered nurse, personal support specialists, dietary aides, certified residential medical aides (CRMA), an activities director, cooks, housekeepers, and laundry and maintenance personnel. The staff to resident ratio allows for quality care and extra personal services.

We will meet with you and your family prior to admittance and at regular intervals thereafter to assess your individual needs and preferences. Our direct care is available whenever you need assistance. We will introduce you to all amenities at The Chapman House and encourage you to participate in social and recreational activities.

We are here to assist you during this new, transitional period. Our number one goal is to give residents a home-like atmosphere accentuated by security, comfort, and peace of mind.
